In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community of Okpunoeze Uruagu, Nnewi, Mr. Christopher Obianefo Igbokwe is grappling with unimaginable pain and suffering after an unidentified assailant poured acid on him.

The victim, a kinsman to Chief Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser on Drainage and Water Resources to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was brutally targeted, leaving him visually impaired and in excruciating pain.

A video circulating on social media captures the aftermath of the heinous attack, revealing the extent of the victim's injuries as he lies in anguish at the Nnewi Diocesan Hospital, Akwudo in Otolo Nnewi. The severity of the acid assault has left Mr. Igbokwe unable to see with either of his eyes.
